DESIGN FOR PEACE welcomed 25 Peacemakers from Avans University of Applied Sciences in Holland, to the humanitarian field of Lesbos . Avans is a high-ranked vocational university, and the Peacemakers who traveled to Lesbos participated in a number of hands-on activities aimed at improving directly the living conditions and build environment of the refugees residing in the camps of Lesbos. The Peacemakers also visited the camp in Moria as well as the lifejacket graveyard in Molyvos (North of Lesbos), thus having the opportunity to experience the many different conditions on the field. Farewell dear friends, and we hope you continue building the peace in Holland as well as receiving you again later in the year when you return to volunteer with DESIGN FOR PEACE and the rest of the PEACEMAKERS on the ground.
